KEVIN O'MORRISON (Playwright) began his career as an actor, appearing in more than 50 TV and radio shows including starring as CBS's "Charlie Wild, Private Detective." Other recent television roles include "Lonesome Dove" and "The Watergate Cover-up Trial."  O'Morrison has also appeared on film as the Sheriff in Funny Farm and as Meg Ryan's father in Sleepless in Seattle.  His plays include The Long War, produced Off-Broadway; The Morgan Yard, produced on both sides of the Atlantic; A Party For Lovers (National Repertory Theatre's First Prize), and A Blanket for Janos. His newest work includes Songs in a Strange Land; Helen of Troy Tells What Really Happened, The Nightgatherers, and The Mutilators, a short version of The Long War.  Ladyhouse Blues, written with the aid of a NY State CAPS Playwright Fellowship, Premiered in New York, played in Europe, and is now considered a modern classic.  O'Morrison is author of three novels, two hand-puppet plays; writer and illustrator of two children's books; and lyricist of "The Dark Wind of Missouri," on the Bluegrass charts for 13 months.  He is an NEA Playwright Fellow, a member of the Dramatists Guild, Authors Guild, ASCAP, is a founding member of PEN Washington and chair of its Freedom To Write Committee.  Please visit Mr. O'Morrison's website.
